We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join the team at the Pestana Berlin Tiergarten Hotel. Under the general guidance of the Sous chef, prepare, produce and present food items for guests and employees, focusing on a high level of quality, whilst working in a safe and hygienic manner.


Job Description
•    To become part of a strong team catering for restaurant, bar, room service and large banquet facilities.
•    Reporting to Sous chef; CDP  must be able to multitask and work under pressure
•    Understands different cooking practices and an expert in  Food hygiene, food sampling, temperature logs, final cooking temperatures, Weights & measures, Health & safety, Fire precautions.
•    Knowledge in stock rotation and food labelling.
•    Be able to listen intently and pass on knowledge to junior chefs
•    Is motivated and hardworking attitude
•    Flexibility and willingness to work on weekends and holidays when needed
•    Proven record of cost control.
•    Reliable and strong team player 
•    Supervise service and commis chefs as necessary in the kitchen
•    Correct acceptance of food deliveries
•    Ensure all legal responsibilities within the kitchen department are adhered to.


The ideal candidate should: 
- Have minimum 1 year experience in a similar type of hotel kitchen.
- The ability to motivate and inspire the team to exceed customer expectations
- Food & Beverage Management or hotel management qualification is desirable.
