With over 100 hotels and present in 16 countries.The BI team mission is to provide data-driven insights and support to help our organization make informed decisions, improve performance, and achieve our strategic goals.We are looking for a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to join our BI team at Pestana Hotel Group. Your Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with different business teams across the organization to understand data needs and deliver analytics solutions

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures
• Create and manage data models, databases, and data warehouses

• Optimize and improve existing data systems for better performance and reliability

• Implement data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Develop Power BI dashboards and analytical reports to support decision-making

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence

 About You

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Information Management, Statistics or other relevant fields

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including partnering with business stakeholders
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect and/or Analytics Engineer
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices

• Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools, namely Power BI

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala is a plus

• Experience with the Microsoft Azure stack; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a plus
